MY WORLD. MY ART. আমার শিল্পকলা.

The artist in me

Experiments in curiosity

My love for animals

Growing up in a family that was steeped in art and culture, I was exposed to various art forms from an early age. My mother had attended Tagore's distinctive arts-centric  university in Shantiniketan (India) and our home was generally filled with art, music, musical instruments, and all sorts of artists and aspirants. I eventually found my own happiness in paintings.

My love for animals

I always loved animals. From the lovable little "humans" we call dogs, to haughty cats and simply adorable birds of all kinds, these fellow inhabitants of our plant have always melted my heart. I started painting the pet dogs around me (mine and my friends'). The owl featured here was my first work to find space in an art exhibition.

Experiments in curiosity

Curiosity is a gift I cherish. It is important for innovation. It pushes me to explore ideas and art forms off the beaten path. Whether it be my rendition of the proverbial ghost, or the fusion of multiple art forms, or 3D art work, I remain an avid experimenter in curiosity. Using sound and light with sculpture, applying music to an AI-generated poem... the possibilities are endless.

    Random Ruminations

Blogs are so common nowadays that they are usually boxed as a medium of exchanging information in a journalistic manner. But blogs can be an art form too because blogs are a form of self-expression, to express oneself creatively, to tell stories, and to explore different ideas.  Some "blogs" have already crossed into the realm of literature, for instance: The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank, The Beauty of Everyday Life by Sarah Manguso, and  The Oatmeal by Matthew Inman.
